Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Every second counts when stabilizing life-threatening trauma cases. This course, taught by qualified nurses, prepares you with the knowledge, critical thinking skills and training needed to provide high-quality trauma nursing care. After completing this course, you will be able to properly assess patients and implement evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes for them.

TNCC Virtual Course Information

Course Format

This Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is delivered entirely online.

Course Fee Includes:

  • Online precourse modules

  • Two-day Zoom course (meets on consecutive days)

  • Trauma Nursing Process test (using a virtual manikin)

  • Online written exam

 

Note: The Provider Manual (available in print or eBook format) can be purchased separately in our bookstore.

 

Booking Information

  • When registering for the initial TNCC class, be aware that it is a 1.5-day course​

Certification & Continuing Education

Upon successful completion, participants will receive:

  • A four-year, internationally recognized provider verification card

  • 19.5 CNE hours

 

Prerequisites

  • Registered Nurses (RNs): Eligible for provider status.

  • Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) & Paramedics: May attend all portions of the course and will receive a certificate of completion.

 

Cancellation Policy

  • 14+ days before course: Cancel at no charge. 

  • Within 14 days: $95 cancellation fee applies.

  • Within 24 hours / No-shows: No refund.

  • Rescheduling: Allowed once. If rescheduled with less than 7 days’ notice, a $95 fee applies.

  • Book purchases are nonrefundable.

Pre-Course & Registration 

Before attending, participants must complete the following:

  • Learning modules

  • Study the 9th Edition TNCC Provider Manual

  • Watch the Trauma Nursing Process (TNP) video

  • Take the practice exam

Complete instructions will be included in your confirmation letter. Please note: a valid email address is required. Institutional email addresses may be blocked by firewalls.

Registration & Payment

  • Registration is online only; no on-site registration is available.

  • Space is limited and processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Registration closes 4 weeks before the course start date.

1. Credit Card

  • An invoice will be sent via PayPal for secure payment.

  • Once payment is received, the Provider Manual will be mailed to the address provided.

2. Check or Money Order

  •  Not available at this time.

Receipt of payment secures your place in the course.

Accreditation

The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
